Abstract: This article brings new data on the distribution of annual alien species Geranium purpureum Vill. in Bratislava borough Nové Mesto (south-western Slovakia). The species was recorded at the railway stations Bratislava-Vinohrady, Bratislava-Predmestie and former railway station Bratislava-Filiálka and it was recorded for the first time in Slovakia also on the tram track. At the Vinohrady station, its occurrence outside the railway track, on the platform and in the surrounding vegetation was also observed. Potential possibilities of its spread in the studied localities are also discussed.

Abstract: Localities of 80 interesting, spontaneously occuring vascular plants in the city of Bratislava (Slovak Republic) are reported. Ten taxa (Centaurea solstitialis, Epipactis helleborine subsp. helleborine, Geranium rotundifolium, Hibiscus trionum, Lychnis coronaria, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Podospermum canum, Polycarpon tetraphyllum, Sonchus palustris, and Spergularia salina) are included in the Red list of Slovakia. Four taxa are new for the city: Lavandula angustifolia, Lindernia dubia, Matteuccia struthiopteris, Physalis peruviana. Two species (Sonchus palustris and Spergularia salina) were previously considered to be regionally extinct in Bratislava and their occurrence was confirmed (in the new localities) after more than 50 years. Twelve taxa (Amaranthus×zobelii, Arabis caucasica, Brunnera macrophylla, Hibiscus syriacus, Hippophaë rhamnoides, Lonicera tatarica, Mespilus germanica, Nepeta racemosa, Platycladus orientalis, Rosa multiflora, Verbena bonariensis var. conglomerata, Veronica filiformis) have been recorded only in very few or single localities in Bratislava untill now. Changes in residence or invasion status of several taxa in Slovakia are proposed here as well.

Abstract: The article summarizes interesting floristic findings of 33 autochthonous and alochthonous species from eastern Slovakia. In terms of threat, four species belong to the category LC(Gratiola officinalis, Lycopodium clavatum, Lycopodium annotinum and Moneses uniflora), four to NT (Chenopodiastrum murale, Lactuca quercina, Ranunculus arvensis and Tribulus terrestris), two to VU (Lactuca saligna and Nymphaea alba) a one DD (Polystichum braunii) according to the current Red List of ferns and flowering plants. Five of allochthonous species are casual neophytes, three naturalised neophytes and one invasive neophyte. The new northernmost locality for Gratiola officinalis in Slovakia was found. Two neophytes, Brachyactis ciliata and Geranium sibiricum have high invasive potential in the flora of Košice and need to be monitored in the future. Maps of occurrence of Geranium sibiricum and Tribulus terrestris in eastern Slovakia are also presented.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to evaluate the European hazel scrubs from the north-western part of the Veľká Fatra Mts and adjacent foothills of Chočské vrchy Mts (Central Slovakia). All assessed relevés, collected by the author between 2011–2014, belong to the association Lonicero nigrae-Coryletum. The stand from south-western slope of Mt. Lysec (1045 m a.s.l.) represents one of the highest documented localities of this association in Slovakia.
