Diverzita cievnatých rastlín, machorastov a lišajníkov lomu Borovník (Slanské vrchy, východné Slovensko)
Diversity of vascular plants, bryophytes and lichens in the quarry of Borovník (Slanské vrchy Mts, eastern Slovakia)
s. 13–21
Abstract: The present study brings overview on vascular plants, bryophytes and lichens of temporarily abandoned andesite quarry Borovník in the northern part of the Slanské vrchy Mts in eastern Slovakia. In total, 137 vascular plant species were found, of which 4 are threatened taxa, 9 non-native species and 6 invasive species; 10 mosses and 7 lichens.

Floristické nálezy cievnatých rastlín z okresu Považský Inovec (Západné Karpaty) – časť 2
Floristic records of vascular plants from the Považský Inovec Mts (Western Carpathians) – part 2
s. 23–54
Abstract: As part of a floristic survey conducted from 1994 to 2025 in the Považský Inovec Mts., 53 taxa were recorded, several of which represent new or significant data for this region. For the first time, the autochthonous taxa Allium carinatum, Eleocharis palustris, Neottinea ustulata subsp. ustulata, Sonchus palustris, Valerianella carinata and one archeophyte Anthemis ruthenica were documented, with the record of N. ustulata subsp. ustulata representing the fourth known locality for this taxon in Slovakia. Several taxa listed in the Red List of Slovak flora were also recorded (EN, VU, NT and LC categories). Notably, the records of neophytes such as Berberis thunbergii, Cardamine occulta, Mirabilis jalapa and Physocarpus opulifolius are newly documented for the surveyed area.

Floristicko-fytocenologická inventarizácia Národnej prírodnej rezervácie Hranovnická dubina a jej okolia
Floristic and phytosociological inventory of the Hranovnická dubina National Nature Reserve and its surroundings
s. 55–87
Abstract: This work focuses on floristic and phytosociological research of forest and non-forest vegetation in the Hranovnická dubina National Nature Reserve near Poprad (northern Slovakia). This locality is mostly covered by natural oak forests with dominance of sessile oak (Quercus petraea), whose population represents the northernmost autochthonous occurrence in Slovakia. Field sampling was conducted during the growing seasons of 2022–2024. A total of 386 taxa of vascular plants were recorded, including 293 taxa identified during field research and 93 records extracted from literature. The flora comprises threatened, near threatened and least concern species, accompanied by non-native taxa. Particularly noteworthy are thermophilous species, including the European important taxon Iris aphylla subsp. hungarica, which forms a locally abundant population. The results reveal an exceptional diversity of plant species and vegetation types, including forests, shrubs, meadows and rocky habitats. Most phytosociological relevés corresponded to oak forests and transitional vegetation types (Quercion petraeae), thermophilous shrublands (Prunion fruticosae) and grasslands (Festucion valesiacae).

Cievnaté rastliny zistené počas jarnej exkurzie Slovenskej botanickej spoločnosti v Novohrade (stredné Slovensko)
Vascular plants recorded during the spring excursion of the Slovak Botanical Society in the Novohrad region (Central Slovakia)
s. 89–96
Abstract: This report presents the results of a spring inventory of vascular plants conducted at seven sites in the Novohrad region in southern central Slovakia, including the Ostrôžky and Revúcka vrchovina Mountains and the northeastern part of the Lučenská kotlina Basin. During a one-day excursion on May 20, 2025, a total of 235 taxa were recorded. The flora includes several red-listed species across EN, NT and LC categories. Only five non-native taxa were found, represented by four archaeophytes and two neophytes, indicating relatively low human disturbance. The survey also documented several common but often overlooked species.

Porasty s Hierochloë repens – antropický fenomén vegetácie na Borskej nížine
Hierochloë repens stands – an anthropic phenomenon of the vegetation of Borská nížina Lowland
s. 97–102
Abstract: Hierochloë repens is a rhizomatous perennial grass that has expanded from small patches to dense linear stands along roads in recent years, particularly in the northern part of the Záhorie region (Borská nížina Lowland). Phytosociological relevés document this process and the paper analyses its causes. These stands represent a clearly anthropic phenomenon related to the mowing of roadside ditches. The formation of long strips is caused by the dispersal of cut rhizomes, a mechanism typical of many other clonal plant species.
Key words: clonal grass, impact of mowing, plant distribution, Záhorie region.
